This is a Tillandsia ionantha zebrina that I bought from a fellow Tillandsia enthusiast. The plant originates from Guatemala and the leaves have a subtle banding. I suspect this is why it is given the name zebrina (zebra, zebrina, get it?). The banding is very subtle and under certain lighting can look like faint shadows on the leaves. So sometimes I don’t know if the plant is really a T. ionantha zebrina or it’s all in my imagination.
