Tillandsia Baileyi “Halley’s Comet” is a species of air plant that has been cultivated. This air plant grows to around 25cm in length, but clumps vigorously and can get quite dense over time. It’s leaves are a dark greenish-silver and twists and twirls naturally. Tillandsia Baileyi is a great addition to any air plant collection. The plant is low maintenance, can take on frequent watering, and produces a purple flower tip.It is found along the Gulf Of Mexico to Texas. The plant clumps readily and offsets pups at the base ( viviparous plant). And so one can easily harvest more T.Baileyi after several months to a year. The plant is rigid, and has smooth, thick leaves which are dark green in color.
